The stock market started the day with an increase

The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.17 percent increase at 11,388.31 points.

Following a buying-heavy trend yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day with a 0.09 percent gain at 11,368.78 points.

At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 19.54 points, or 0.17 percent, compared to the previous close, to 11,388.31 points. The banking index gained 0.13 percent, and the holding index gained 0.08 percent.

Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was metal goods and machinery with 0.54 percent, while the biggest loser was real estate investment trusts with 0.80 percent.

In global markets, US growth data, signaling a strong economy, increased risk appetite, while investors focused on the country's heavy data agenda, particularly the release of today's Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index. Domestic markets also opened the day with a buying trend.

Meanwhile, the Capital Markets Board (CMB) approved the initial public offering of Dof Robotics Industry Inc. in its weekly bulletin published yesterday. This decision marks the first public offering the company has undertaken since February.

Analysts noted that a busy data agenda will be followed today, with data on the unemployment rate and the Services Producer Price Index (PPI) in Turkey, and core Personal Consumption Expenditures in the US, and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and unemployment rate in Germany leading the way. They noted that from a technical perspective, resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are 11,400 and 11,500, while support levels are 11,300 and 11,200. (AA)
