Russia hits Baykar factory in Ukraine with missile!

Russia launched a missile attack on Lviv, Ukraine. Lviv City Council member Igor Zinkevich announced that the Turkish defense company Baykar's production facility in Ukraine was severely damaged in the Russian attack. This was the fourth time the factory has been targeted in the last six months.
Footage published on social media shows a missile hitting the roof of a factory said to belong to Baykar, with a powerful explosion and dense smoke rising.
Igor Zinkevich explained that two direct hits were recorded in the attack and the production capacity was seriously damaged.
According to Zinkevich, Baykar has maintained its investments despite previous attacks, completed staff training, and most of the facility's production lines are nearly ready. Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar announced last year that the Ukrainian factory would open in August 2025.
The Clash Report account on X shared a rendering of the factory's design, claiming the structure struck resembles a Baykar facility. Baykar has yet to make an official statement.
16 DEADSixteen people were killed and 38 injured in Russia's missile strikes on the night of August 28. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that a total of 629 air targets were launched during the attack.
In addition to Baykar, facilities of Ukrainian companies were also damaged in the attack.
Among those affected are the office of IT firm FRACTAL at the LIFT99 incubator owned by Estonian entrepreneur Ragnar Sass and a distribution center of the “Nova Poshta” cargo company.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that they struck military industrial enterprises and air bases in Ukraine with high-precision weapons, including Kinjal hypersonic missiles.
The statement, which reported that the Russian Armed Forces hit some targets in Ukraine tonight, said: "The Russian army carried out a group attack on Ukrainian military industrial enterprises and military air bases with high-precision long-range air-launched weapons, including Kinjal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles."
The statement noted that the attack achieved its goals and pointed out that all designated targets were hit.
The statement also stated that 153 locations where Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries were temporarily stationed were fired upon, and that a Ukrainian Su-27 warplane was shot down by air defense systems.
