RTÜK has granted BirGün TV a licensing requirement of 72 hours.

RTÜK Member Tuncar Keser also reacted to the decision by saying, “This week, ‘Pick and choose, force license’”:
The fact that @birguntv, who stands out with its critical broadcasts among thousands of YouTube broadcasters, was chosen and forced to obtain a broadcast license for an on-demand broadcast service (İBYH) reveals the reason for the intentions and preferences.
It is clear that independent journalism and pluralism on the internet are being targeted through licensing fees and content control, and that a social media environment with no criticism or questioning, with only one voice, is desired.
RTÜK continues to make “METICULOUS” choices on social media.
This week in the "select, like, force license"... A license decision has been made for https://t.co/k2H9U76UGr . If an application is not made within 72 hours, RTÜK will request an access ban for @birguntv.
