Özgür Özel: “I invite all democrats to protect the CHP members’ ancestral home in Istanbul.”
Özel, stating that they stand resolutely against those attacking the Republic, said, "We are not afraid, we are not surrendering, and we will not. From here, we respectfully salute our members of parliament defending our Istanbul Provincial Headquarters, our Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik, and all CHP members. We will continue to resist and fight."
Özel, emphasizing that they cannot turn the CHP into an opposition party that will not disturb the regime, continued :
They are disturbed, they are afraid, and they will continue to be afraid. We are right, we are strong, we will win. We have the moral superiority, we have the psychological superiority, we have the majority energy. The nation is with us, the people are with us. We will win. From here, I call on all democrats and CHP members whom my voice reaches to defend their ancestral home in Istanbul, Atatürk's house. To those who are trying to install them there through the AKP judiciary, to those who are trying to pit brother against brother through the police, I call out from here: You are making a historical mistake, you will be ashamed, turn away from this mistake. Act as befits members of Mustafa Kemal's Party. This is my final warning. There is no salvation alone; either all together or none of us. I love you all very much, and I hug each and every one of you.
