NEW IMRALI APPLICATION FROM DEM DELEGATION

The DEM Party delegation made a new application to the Ministry of Justice to meet with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.

DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan said, "Our delegation has applied to go to İmralı. The delegation can go to İmralı before Nevruz, this will be beneficial."

Terrorist leader Öcalan called on all groups to lay down their arms and gave the message that 'the PKK must dissolve itself.'

Call for Peace and a Democratic Society The PKK was born against the backdrop of the 20th century, the most intense century of violence in history, two world wars, real-socialism and the cold war environments experienced worldwide, the denial of the Kurdish reality, and the bans on freedoms, especially expression.

It has been heavily influenced by the reality of the real-socialist system of the century in terms of theory, program, strategy and tactics. The collapse of real-socialism due to internal reasons in the 1990s and the dissolution of identity denial in the country, and the developments in freedom of expression have led to the PKK's lack of meaning and excessive repetition. Therefore, it has completed its life like its counterparts and made its dissolution necessary.

Kurdish-Turkish relations; Throughout more than 1000 years of history, Turks and Kurds have always found it necessary to remain in an alliance, with the voluntary aspect being dominant, in order to maintain their existence and to survive against hegemonic powers.

The last 200 years of capitalist modernity have aimed to break up this alliance. The affected powers, together with their class foundations, have considered it essential to serve this. This process has accelerated with the uniform interpretations of the Republic. The main task today is to reorganize the historical relationship, which has become very fragile, in the spirit of brotherhood without ignoring beliefs.

The need for a democratic society is inevitable. The PKK, the longest and most comprehensive rebellion and violent movement in the history of the Republic, has gained strength and support because democratic political channels have been closed.

The necessary consequences of the extreme nationalist movement; separate nation-state, federation, administrative autonomy and culturalist solutions cannot be an answer to the historical sociology of society.

Respect for identities, freedom to express themselves, democratic organization, and the socio-economic and political structures that all segments base themselves on are only possible with the existence of a democratic society and political sphere.

The second century of the Republic will only have a permanent and fraternal continuity when it is crowned with democracy. There is no way outside of democracy for system searches and realizations. There can be no. Democratic compromise is the basic method.

The language of the period of peace and democratic society must also be developed in accordance with reality.
