Natural gas exploded, panicked and jumped from the 7th floor: Those moments are on security camera!

A natural gas leak caused a flashover during the installation of a stovetop in an apartment in Ataşehir, Istanbul. Dursun Erol (22), who panicked due to the incident, jumped from the window of the 7th floor in fear and was seriously injured.

The moment Erol jumped out of the window was recorded by a security camera at a shop on the street.

The incident occurred at around 20:30 on Başkomutan Street in the Esatpaşa Neighborhood. According to the allegations, a gas leak occurred while a stove was being installed in an apartment on the 7th floor of the building, causing a flash. Dursun Erol, who was installing the stove, panicked due to the leak and jumped from the window of the apartment on the 7th floor. Police, fire, emergency health and İGDAŞ teams arrived at the address after witnesses reported the incident. While the teams were performing the necessary checks in the apartment where the gas flash occurred, it was determined that Dursun Erol, who jumped from the 7th floor to the concrete floor, was also seriously injured. Erol, who received first aid at the scene, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The police launched an investigation into the incident.
