Efforts to extinguish a fire that broke out at a construction site in Kadıköy continue.

The incident occurred around 9:20 a.m. in the Fikirtepe neighborhood. A fire broke out for an as yet unknown reason in a block within the housing development on Mandıra Street. The flames quickly spread, and numerous firefighters were dispatched to the scene upon receiving a report. Workers on the construction site were also quickly evacuated when the fire broke out. It's believed the fire may have been caused by construction materials and extinguishers inside, but firefighters are continuing their efforts to extinguish and cool the fire.
