Drunk driver flips: Car flips, 1 injured

The accident occurred near the village of Akyamaç on the Bartın-Çaycuma highway, at the Special Administration Nursing Home intersection. According to reports, the car with license plate 67 DD 248, driven by TA, was traveling from Saltukova toward Çaycuma when the driver lost control and overturned, coming to a stop upside down.

The driver, who was alone in the car, suffered minor injuries. Following reports from bystanders, 112 Emergency Health, Çaycuma Municipality Fire Department, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

Following initial treatment at the scene by paramedics, the injured driver was taken to Çaycuma State Hospital by ambulance. Upon examination, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated.

A judicial investigation was launched by gendarmerie teams regarding the accident.
