Buffy the Vampire Slayer is back

The legendary series Buffy the Vampire Slayer is returning to the screens after 22 years. Sarah Michelle Gellar will reprise her role as Buffy Summers in the project, which is directed by Chloe Zhao. Ryan Kiera Armstrong will take on the role of the new generation “Slayer”.

Ryan Kiera Armstrong will play the new "Slayer" character who will be alongside Buffy in the new series. Described as an introverted high school-aged teenager, the character will bring a new breath to the Buffy universe.
Sarah Michelle Gellar said that when she watched Ryan Kiera Armstrong's audition video, she knew she was the perfect choice for the role, adding, "That much emotional intelligence and talent at this age is truly a gift."
