Storm warning from Meteorology for 10 provinces: Orange and yellow codes issued

According to the latest forecasts of the General Directorate of Meteorology, the weather will be partly and occasionally very cloudy throughout Turkey. Intermittent showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Marmara, Aegean Region (except Muğla and Denizli), Western Black Sea (except Sinop), northwest of Central Anatolia and around Antalya, Isparta and Kırıkkale.

Strong Storm and Rain Warning

Rainfall is expected to be locally heavy, especially around Kırklareli, Edirne and Tekirdağ. Winds are expected to blow strongly (50-70 km/h) from the south and southwest in the Marmara, Aegean, Western Mediterranean and western Central Anatolia, and as strong storms (60-90 km/h) in the coastal Aegean and western Marmara.

Dust Transport and Temperature Increase

Meteorology announced that dust transport may be seen in the south of Marmara, the west of Central Anatolia and the Aegean. Temperatures, which are within seasonal norms, are expected to increase by 3 to 5 degrees in the inner and eastern regions.

Important Warnings to Citizens

Heavy thunderstorms are expected in the Kırklareli, Edirne and Tekirdağ areas on Saturday morning. Meteorology emphasized that caution should be exercised against negativities such as sudden floods, inundations and lightning.
