According to data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck at 7:53 PM, with its epicenter in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir province. The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 11 kilometers, was also felt in the Marmara and Aegean regions. According to initial reports, no adverse effects were reported.
