Veteran swimmers of the SVO showed excellent results at the championship in Kazan

The Telegram channel of the Sports Committee reported on the results of the Open Cup of the SVO in swimming for the prizes of the Honored Master of Sports Andrey Arbuzov in Kazan. They were attended by veteran athletes from 17 regions of the country, including those after serious injuries.
Alexey Tsvetkov from Tikhvin, Sergey Berezovoy from Kudrovo and Viktor Ershov from Priozersk won 13th, 19th and 25th place respectively. And that's quite a lot, considering that there were 82 athletes in total at the start.
The best result from the Leningrad Region team was shown by Alexey Tsvetkov, a veteran awarded the Suvorov Medal. In the past, he himself was actively involved in swimming and took part in departmental competitions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Having returned from the front, he leads an active lifestyle and successfully passed the selection stage of the "Heroes of Team 47" program.
Earlier, MK in Leningrad Oblast reported that the region has a program called "Swimming for All." It involves veterans of the SVO who have suffered serious injuries and their family members. They can receive free electronic social certificates for visiting swimming pools.
