Rubin beat Voronezh Fakel (2:1) at home the day before in the 27th round of the RPL, reports Tatar-inform news agency.
The visitors demonstrated good pressing and set pieces in the first half: Vladimir Ilyin opened the scoring in the 22nd minute. Dmitry Kabutov cleared the ball from the near post, but after a mistake by Yegor Teslenko (under pressure from Alexey Kashtanov), Andrey Ivlev crossed from the flank into the penalty area, Ilyin threw the ball into the goal while falling, 0:1.
At the end of the half, there was a violent collision between Ilya Rozhkov and Max Dziov: both could not get up from the grass, they were evacuated on stretchers. In the 45th minute, Nikita Motspan received a red card for a violation, as a result, the first half ended with a score of 0:1 in favor of the Voronezh team.
In the second half, Rubin began to put pressure on Fakel: in the 56th minute, Oleg Ivanov made a throw-in into the penalty area. And at that moment, Ruslan Bezrukov shot from the penalty area into the far corner. The ball hit the post, and from there flew into the goal – 1:1.
The game was ending, the score was tied, but Bezrukov scored the second goal. Ivanov crossed into the penalty area, Bezrukov took the ball with his chest and hit it with his left foot into the far corner – 2:1. The match ended with this score.
