Russian citizens only need to have three or four bank cards for personal use, banking market expert Andrey Barkhota told the Prime agency.
According to him, cards can be divided into three types - salary, special and transaction. Since a salary card cannot always provide all the privileges, Russians apply for a second card.
Also, at least half of Russians use a second bank card as a tool for making a larger volume of transactions. For this purpose, you can choose the card that will allow you to get a large cashback and discounts for making purchases.
For even greater maximum benefit, some Russians use not a debit card, but a credit card. But the debt on it must be repaid during the grace period, then the bank will not charge interest.
Russians can also use the so-called special card - it allows you to get the maximum benefit for one-time specific purchases. For example, for the purchase of tickets or household appliances.
At the same time, some Russians have more than five bank cards. Barkhota believes that having such a number of cards is not profitable, since the costs of their maintenance may exceed the benefits of using them.
