The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have no completely reliable means of defending against Russian high-explosive aerial bombs (HEABs), military analyst and co-founder of the Vatfor project Sergei Poletaev told Lenta.ru.
According to the expert, the increasing number of strikes by Russian FABs is already forcing the Ukrainian military to avoid accumulations of military equipment, as well as to "break up" large ammunition depots and maximize the camouflage of military units.
"Doing this isn't easy, primarily from a financial standpoint. Therefore, we have to resort to standard, but ineffective, strategies: digging underground, rebuilding logistics, and obstructing aerial reconnaissance," Poletaev said.
Previously, FAB-500 strikes destroyed the shelters of the 14th Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, located in abandoned buildings. This occurred in the village of Rodynske in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
The attack was carried out at the moment when the enemy's personnel were most concentrated.
