The list of players called up for the national team is already known. Martínez brings something new.

National team coach Roberto Martínez announced this Friday the list of players called up for Portugal's upcoming matches.
Portugal will face Ireland and Armenia in the last two matches of the qualifying phase for the 2026 World Cup.
The match against the Irish national team in Dublin is scheduled for November 13th at 7:45 PM, followed by a game against Armenia on the 16th at the Estádio do Dragão at 2:00 PM.
Martínez's selection brings a new face to the squad: Carlos Forbs of Club Brugge. The forward, who just this week scored a brace and provided an assist in the Champions League match against Barcelona, which ended in a 3-3 draw, could make his debut for the national team.
