CPFL posts net profit of R$1.62 billion in Q1, above expectations

CPFL Energia had a net profit of R$1.62 billion in the first quarter of this year, a drop of 8% year-on-year according to a report published by the company this Thursday (15).
The result exceeded the average expectation of analysts, of R$1.1 billion, according to research by LSEG.
The company had earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of R$3.85 billion in the same period, practically stable in the annual comparison, and above the market forecast of R$3.06 billion.
