Trump in Paradise!

Trump in Paradise!

Charles III's reception of Donald Trump at Windsor Castle is proving to be a true paradise for the American president, who so delights in the gilded rooms, the pomp of the royal carriage, and the horses of the royal regiments and various branches of the Armed Forces marching in unison.

There are protests abroad—in Windsor and also in London—but none of this worries Trump, not even the video of him appearing with Epstein. There's a huge queue of requests for state visits to the UK, but his has been pushed to the front of them all. Rarely does a head of state receive such honors. At stake are billions of dollars in agreements between the two countries, plus Ukraine and Gaza.

With Elizabeth II in Buckingham Palace, all the pomp and grandeur that gives the Royal House of Windsor its luster and grandeur was left out during this American president's first visit. This time, it was a blast. From the outset, he was installed at the Castle, a rare occurrence, and so was his closest entourage—this circumstance alone wowed him.

The White House is beautiful, but it fits into a courtyard at Windsor Castle, which has hundreds of rooms, bedrooms, and other divisions: It was Donald Trump's dream come true. Understandably so. He's like a kid at a vanity fair.
