Starting lineup saves Palmeiras as they draw against Vitória before the Derby

Lomba and the crossbar save Palmeiras. In the 40th minute, Baralhas pounced on a rebound from the Palmeiras defense at the edge of the box and unleashed a powerful shot from long range. Marcelo Lomba made a great save to prevent Vitória's second goal—the ball even hit the crossbar before going out.

Renato Kayzer nearly extended the lead for Vitória. Just two minutes into the second half, Osvaldo crossed the ball into the box near midfield. Vanderlan didn't clear it, and the ball reached Renato Kayzer. The striker took a frightening shot, but Lomba made a good save.
