Rain gains strength in the South and temperatures drop in the Southeast

A cold front and light rain showers are still expected to affect states in the South and Southeast regions of the country, throughout this Thursday (7). According to Climatempo, the South is facing a drop in temperature, while the Southeast is experiencing a drop in humidity.
Still on Thursday morning (7), rain nuclei should gain strength, due to the new cold front that advances over the southern coast of Brazil. During the afternoon and evening, the showers spread over the interior of Santa Catarina and Paraná, varying between moderate and strong.
There's a risk of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds between the north and the Serra Gaúcha, the south, the mountains and west of Santa Catarina, and the extreme south of Paraná. In addition to rain, winds with gusts of up to 70 km/h are expected to pass through the Costa Doce and the Middle Coast.
In Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, rain showers gain momentum in the morning. Meanwhile, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, and Curitiba, Paraná, the weather remains stable throughout the day, with only occasional cloud cover.
In the southeast of the country, the presence of maritime humidity may stimulate the formation of light rain showers over some areas of the southern coast of São Paulo. In other regions of the interior of São Paulo, the weather remains stable, with rising temperatures during the day and low relative humidity between the north and northwest of the state.
Over the weekend, temperatures will drop in the Southeast.
In Minas Gerais, the weather is dry, with a risk of a sharp drop in humidity during the hottest hours. The same is true in the Belo Horizonte metropolitan area. In Espírito Santo, the circulation of offshore winds could also result in isolated light rain, especially on the southern coast of Espírito Santo.
Midwest and NortheastIn the Center-West region of the country, the weather remains stable across most of the region , except for the southern tip of Mato Grosso do Sul. Meanwhile, Mato Grosso, Goiás, and the Federal District remain affected by dry air. During the afternoon, there's a risk of relative humidity falling below 20% between Goiás and eastern Mato Grosso.
The Northeast region is experiencing light to moderate rainfall between the coasts of Bahia and Rio Grande do Norte. Rain is also expected along the coast of Maranhão, but with the potential for heavy rainfall at times. In some areas, there is a risk of localized thunderstorms.
According to Climatempo, the interior of the Northeast remains hot and dry, with a risk of low humidity in the afternoon. Southern Maranhão, inland Piauí, and western Bahia are expected to experience relative humidity below 20%.
In the North Region, Amazonas, Pará, Roraima, and Amapá are expected to experience moderate to heavy rain throughout the day, due to the presence of a low-pressure area and high humidity. There is a risk of localized thunderstorms at certain intervals throughout the day. Acre, Rondônia, and Tocantins remain dry throughout the day.
