Portimonense presents 32 players with Welinton Júnior returning

Portimonense, from the Portuguese II League, presented a total of 32 players to fans on Saturday, August 2, including the returning Brazilian forward Welinton Júnior , the last of the 18 confirmed reinforcements.
Welinton Júnior, who played for Gangwon in South Korea, was the last player to be called onto the pitch, before the presentation game against Saudi champions Al-Ittihad.
The experienced 32-year-old Brazilian striker is back, having already represented the 'alvinegros' between 2020 and 2023, scoring 11 goals in 47 matches.
In total, Portimonense presented 18 reinforcements: goalkeepers Cibois and Hamza Alaa, defenders Marlon Júnior, João Reis, Diogo Casimiro, Jarleysom, Samy, Mindinho and Alexandre, midfielders Xavier, Lucas de Bolle, Samuel Lobato and Welat Cagro, and forwards Francisco Canário, Tiago Mamede, Mesaque Djú, Diogo Cabral and Welinton Júnior.
Alemão, Heitor, Douglas Grolli, Jefferson Maciel, Benjamin Acquah, Zinho, Tamble Monteiro, Ruan, Camilo Durán, Danio Djassi and Kim Yong-hak are transferred from last season.
Lourenço Lagartinho, João Casimiro and Kim Tae-Won were promoted from the under-23s to the Portimonense first team and complete the 32-player provisional squad for 2025/26.
The team coached by Tiago Fernandes makes its official home debut in the second division against Penafiel on August 9th at 6:00 pm.
