Swimming on the river. This attraction will attract crowds.

Today, you can swim in the Seine, and since this summer, special bathing areas have been designated on the famous river. Not long ago, this was unthinkable – entering the river was punishable by stiff fines, and the water was considered hazardous to health and skin. Thanks to last year's Olympic Games, the century-old ban was lifted, and today, swimming in the Seine is becoming a must-see attraction in Paris. "Three free swimming areas will be available on the Seine until August 31, 2025," writes Sortir à Paris.
River baths in ParisThere's nothing more pleasant than a dip in the sea after a day of sightseeing. But what if the city doesn't have a coastline? Public swimming pools and water parks come in handy, but finding them can be tricky for tourists. Not so in Paris, where, as of July 5th, residents and tourists can enjoy free public swimming areas on the Seine. "The project is the result of years of work related to the Olympic Games," the Sortir à Paris guide states. Bathing takes place in safe and well-maintained areas where the water has been thoroughly tested.
Bathing next to the Eiffel TowerThere are three locations for swimming in the Seine. The most impressive is located in the 12th arrondissement, opposite the French National Library. It can accommodate a total of 700 people (including 300 in the bathing area) and is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tourists will also appreciate the swimming area located near Île aux Cygnes, right next to the Eiffel Tower. This natural pool can accommodate up to 150 people and is open daily from morning to afternoon. The final swimming area is located near the Pont de Sully bridge. All areas are equipped with basic amenities, such as changing rooms and lockers.
