Zuzanna Kula broke the world record in the barbell squat during a powerlifting competition. Weighing 51.90 kilograms, she lifted a whopping 223 kilograms.

Fans can now follow the competition at this year's edition of The World Games. In Chengdu, athletes competing in various disciplines, such as tug-of-war, drone racing, and powerlifting, are vying for medals. It was in the latter discipline that our representative broke the world record.

Powerlifting consists of three disciplines: the barbell squat, the bench press, and the deadlift. The athlete who accumulates the most points across all three events wins.

Polish representative Zuzanna Kula got off to a great start, breaking the world record in the barbell squat. Weighing just 51.90 kilograms, she lifted a whopping 223 kilograms. She has a good chance of winning a medal in powerlifting.
