Legendary skyscraperThe Empire State Building is one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. Built in 1931, it was the world's tallest skyscraper for many years. Located in the heart of Manhattan, it is not only a tourist attraction but also a venue for numerous cultural and symbolic events.
Since 1976, the building has been renowned for its tradition of variable illuminations, which express support for important initiatives, national holidays, sporting events, and social campaigns. Thanks to the modern LED system, the skyscraper can create spectacular light shows visible from many corners of the city.

The presence of Robert Lewandowski, one of the most recognizable figures in Polish sports worldwide, gave the event a special character. After scoring a hat-trick against Barcelona on Sunday, Lewandowski traveled from Spain especially for the ceremony.
The Polish community in New York will commemorate Independence Day with events planned at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland and the Piłsudski Institute, among others.
