The unemployment rate in Poland has reached 3.5%—the highest since June 2021. Despite this increase, unemployment remains low. Similar trends are observed across Europe.
- Unemployment in Poland has risen to 3.5%.
- This is the highest result since June 2021, but still remains low.
- An increase in unemployment was also recorded in the Czech Republic and Germany
According to the CIS, the unemployment rate in Poland rose to 3.5%, reaching its highest level since June 2021 , but despite this increase, it remains low.
A similar trend is visible:
- in the Czech Republic, where unemployment rose to 3% (the highest since May 2021), and
- in Germany, where it remains at 3.7% for the third month in a row (the highest since April 2021).
- Across the European Union, the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 5.9 percent - reports the WNP.
Eurostat data also indicate changes in employment in the Polish corporate sector. After June, only the following figures were recorded:
- in Greater Poland (by 0.6%),
- Lesser Poland (by 1.5%).
In other regions, employment fell:
- from 0.6 percent in the Opole and Świętokrzyskie voivodeships,
- by 2.1 percent in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Silesian Voivodeships,
- 2.4 percent each in Lubuskie,
- and as much as 4.1 percent in the Warmia-Masuria region.
Despite these signals, unemployment below 4% is still considered very low and, as emphasized, it is difficult to talk about a crisis.
