They will organize creative time for seniors

This August, Przemyśl seniors can take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the Przemyśl Senior Association's "Przemyśl Creative Summer of the Golden Generation" project, which includes various trips and activities.

The Przemyśl Senior Association is an organization that actively works to support seniors living in Przemyśl. It is known for organizing a variety of projects aimed at seniors, offering opportunities to participate in interesting activities and trips. Recently, the association signed an agreement with the Regional Social Policy Center in Rzeszów to implement the "Przemyśl Creative Summer of the Golden Generation" project, which allows for the implementation of enjoyable summer initiatives. For this purpose, it has secured PLN 40,150. These funds will enhance the summer for residents of Przemyśl aged 60 and over and perhaps encourage them to get out of the house and make new friends. From August to October, the association plans to organize initiatives such as a guided walk through the Przemyśl underground complex, a tour of the Przemyśl Fortress forts, pottery workshops, activities at the municipal swimming pool, a theatrical performance by the Fredreum Theatre, a sightseeing trip to Roztocze, and a meeting with the mayor and symbolically handing over the keys to the city gates to seniors. The Przemyśl Senioralia will also be held again in the POSiR hall. In short, there's plenty to choose from. However, please note that participation in each of the planned program activities requires passes, which are issued at the Social Activation Center at Słowackiego Street 13. Space for each of the activities is limited.

Guided walks, during which you can discover the secrets hidden beneath the city streets, have already begun. The first one took place on August 5th. Subsequent walks are scheduled for August 12th, August 19th, and August 26th. For those who can't register, we also recommend the free August guided walks organized by the Przemyśl branch of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK). They take place on Saturdays and Sundays in August (the next ones are August 9th and 10th, August 16th and 17th, and August 23rd and 24th) – starting at noon, meeting at the Tourist Information Center on Grodzka Street.

Regarding other activities within the "Przemyśl Creative Summer of the Golden Generation" project, it's worth following the information published by the city hall and the Social Activation Center's Facebook page. Specific dates and further details will be posted there.
