They gave it their all. They fought as best they could, putting their whole hearts into this three-game series. The fact that Texom Eurobus Przemyśl finished the 2024-2025 season in the FOGO Futsal Ekstraklasa (finally taking 5th place) was decided by the details. They played great matches with the Polish champion Rekord Bielsko-Biała, for whom they were an equal rival. But a champion is still a champion. He was on the edge, but he showed great class. Huge respect is due to both teams.

This was not a match for the faint of heart and nerves. This was a match worthy of the FOGO Futsal Ekstraklasa final. To be more precise: these were matches at the absolute top, which fans in this phase of the play-offs have not seen for a long time. Never before has the multiple Polish champion had such huge problems in the initial phase of the fight for another gold.

They were close, very close. A different position of the foot when shooting, one more precise pass, a more precise strike on the opponent's goal. It was total war, but also very perfidious.

Sport showed its beauty, but also its ruthlessness. Was it injustice? Probably not. Some were already in ecstasy when Adriano Ribeiro's team demolished the Polish champion on their court. But the Przemyśl futsal players were careful with their words, sparing in showing their joy. Because they knew perfectly well that they had only won the first half of the match, that a match like the one in Bielsko-Biała would definitely not happen again. They knew perfectly well that a hellishly difficult challenge awaited them. Their home court was not decisive, because the level of both teams was so equal that it was not - as it turned out - any advantage. They fought brilliantly, putting their whole hearts, hectoliters of sweat, desire and ambition into the game.

Twice in the meetings in the POSiR hall they were the team chasing the result in decisive fragments. They made one more mistake than their opponent, and in such situations sport is brutal. One mistake that cost everything.

The promotion to the medal zone was decided by penalties. It's a lottery. But you could feel it over the POSiR arena floor that the Polish champion was striving for this very thing in the extra time of the third, decisive match. He was striving because he knew that the hosts would be under greater pressure. They were right... If someone thinks wrongly, after the failure of Jarosław Lebid or Danił Abakszyn to use their chances, that Artur Kuźma was not able to stop the ball even once, he has no idea about sports competition.

Texom Eurobus Przemyśl finished the 2024-2025 season in an excellent 5th place. A season in which they were a threat to everyone. A season in which they fought on equal terms with much more experienced, classy and qualitative rivals. Przemyśl took the league by storm to the top of the highest league in Poland in futsal. However, this was not yet a season in which they would have a chance to fight for medals. Their rivals were still slightly better. This beautiful story does not end there... It is only just beginning!
