An Audi with suspicious plates. He thought no one would notice.

On Friday morning, November 7th, just after 9:00 a.m., police officers from the Trzebnica district police station were patrolling the city streets. Suddenly, an Audi caught their attention. Something about the car's license plates struck them as suspicious—they didn't look right.
The officers decided not to wait a moment. They stopped the car for an inspection. Behind the wheel was a 42-year-old resident of our district. It soon became clear that the man had no right to be behind the wheel – his driving license had been previously revoked by the district governor. He had thus committed an offense under Article 180a of the Penal Code.
But that was only the beginning of the driver's troubles. The police inspected the car more thoroughly and discovered that the Audi had neither a current technical inspection nor mandatory third-party liability insurance. Furthermore, the license plates didn't belong to the vehicle. He admitted that he had purchased them online and attached them to the car himself.
An investigative team was called to the scene and completed all formal procedures. The car was towed to a guarded parking lot, and its owner ended the day facing a court appearance. He faces up to five years in prison for driving without a license and using false license plates, and additional charges may be filed for other offenses.
