Van de Zandschulp happy with 'solid match' after Wimbledon win

Tennis player Botic van de Zandschulp spoke of a "solid match" after his three-set victory over Italian Matteo Arnaldi in the first round of Wimbledon. The two played the remainder of the match on Tuesday, which had been stopped the day before after two sets due to darkness.
"I think it was difficult to play yesterday, for both of us," Van de Zandschulp said shortly after his victory. "The sun was low and on one side it was difficult to return. But I served well both days and got through my own games quite well.
It was the first victory for Van de Zandschulp, who recently struggled with injuries, since mid-April. The good feeling was therefore not there in the run-up to Wimbledon, he admitted. "No, not at all. But I have to say that I was training well. You hope that you can take that with you into the match, but that is not always a guarantee", according to the number 92 of the world ranking.
