Tough defeat for Chivas

Gabriel Milito's era at the helm of Chivas continues to be disappointing.

Guadalajara lost again in the 2025 Apertura, this time 1-0 on their visit to Territorio Santos Modelo.

The goal was scored by Chilean striker Bruno Barticciotto, who took advantage of a penalty in the 29th minute to give his team the lead.

Unlike Milito, the arrival of Spanish coach Francisco Rodríguez Vílchez has managed to change the face of a team that finished last semester and now sits in fifth place, with six points (one less than the total it earned last season) after four matches.

Chivas had a chance to take at least a point home, but Alan Pulido missed a penalty in the 73rd minute. The Guadalajara team remained with three points in 14th place in the standings.

Their next match will be at home against Juárez, while Santos will visit Cruz Azul.— EFE
