Dominican Republic will participate in the Global Summit of the Open Government Partnership

The Dominican Republic , through the General Directorate of Ethics and Government Integrity ( Digeig ), will participate in the IX Global Summit of the Open Government Partnership, to be held from October 6 to 10 in Vitoria, Spain, with a delegation headed by the head of the state agency, Milagros Ortiz Bosch .
Within the framework of this meeting, the country will assume a leading role by officially joining the OGP Steering Committee for the 2025–2028 period, consolidating its international leadership in open government.
In this regard, the Dominican Republic will present its recent progress in open government, which includes the Sixth Open Government Action Plan 2024-2028 and the National Civic Space Strategy 2025-2028, the latter a commitment made by President Luis Abinader during the Eighth Global Summit in Tallinn, Estonia, in 2023.
As the Dominican representative, Digeig will use this opportunity to exchange experiences , strengthen international alliances , and reinforce the Dominican Republic's commitment to the principles of open government.
The Summit will serve as a platform to promote the values of open government , as well as to exchange experiences , best practices, and progress in transparency, citizen participation , and public innovation initiatives.
The delegation is made up of the Director of Transparency and Open Government, Elizabet Díaz ; the Director of Communications, Paola Cabrera ; and the head of the Public Information Access Offices, María Fernanda de los Santos .
