Tour bus accident in New York leaves multiple victims

A tour bus returning to New York City after a visit to Niagara Falls was involved in a serious accident on the highway near the town of Pembroke.

According to initial reports provided by the state police, the incident left “multiple” fatalities and an as yet undetermined number of people injured .

Police spokesman James O'Callaghan explained that, for reasons still unknown, the bus lost control while traveling on the road . "For reasons unknown, the vehicle lost control, went into the median strip, and when it reversed, it ended up in a ditch," he told the median strip.

There were 52 people inside the vehicle, including the driver . O'Callaghan explained that several of them were trapped in the wreckage of the bus, while others were thrown out by the force of the impact.
