Excuse me: Food delivery man charged you 27 thousand pesos instead of $273

Domicilio Pudiente.- A girl reported that the Uber Eats delivery driver charged her more than 27,000 pesos for her order, instead of the original $273, in case anyone still doubted that inflation was sky-high.

The user, named Carol , posted a video in which she claimed that she had been charged 27,300 pesos instead of a bill of $273, without the app having done anything to resolve the situation.

The victim said she placed an order through the app, but the system notified her that the establishment couldn't process the online payment. So the delivery driver (one of those who "do the trick") suggested charging her with a mobile terminal as an alternative (for those who swore those were a good idea). She accepted.

The delivery man doesn't even have to be working anymore.

Well, I hand him my card, he gives me the terminal, and I enter my PIN, but the screen was broken, so I couldn't verify how much I was paying. Since he'd shown me he'd entered 273 from his phone, from the Clip app, I trusted him,” says the girl, who will now look at YouTube tutorials for learning how to make hamburgers at home with different eyes.

She placed an Uber Eats order for 273 pesos... and the delivery guy charged her 27,300. 👀

After explaining that the app simply hasn't provided a solution—and that she's even "washed her hands of it"—Carol issued a warning to other users not to fall for this fraud scheme.

Uh, unfortunately I didn't see the message Uber Eats sends that says: don't accept payments from a terminal outside the app. I don't normally use that app; I always use Rappi, and I was unpacking... I didn't see it, I didn't see it,” adds the girl, who apparently usually has a "fair" amount of money on her debit card.

And in case you missed it: A car crashed into a restaurant while some influencers were live-streaming, and it even seems like a divine sign.
