LBATV is here: the Italian basketball league launches its own web TV channel.

Long-anticipated, the basketball TV platform is finally coming to fruition . With the return of two games a week to Sky Sport and the big playoff matches, plus free-to-air coverage on Cielo, Serie A basketball has chosen to invest in its own LBATV, the new platform from Lega Basket Serie A and Deltatre, a global leader in sports tech. This project, following in the footsteps of the NBA's League Pass, Euroleague TV, and LNP League Pass (the platform for Serie A2 and Serie B, active since 2015), marks a turning point in the way basketball is experienced.
The great innovation of LBATV is its digital, daily nature. No longer just a match-day event, but a platform that accompanies fans every day , with the tagline: "Game Day, Every Day." With original and archive content offering direct access and continuous storytelling, LBATV is transforming the relationship between the League, the clubs, and the fans.
"We have decided to adopt this new direct distribution strategy to bring the Serie A spectacle to every fan's home, with a high-level production controlled by the League ," commented Umberto Gandini, LBA President. " This is a long-term project, thanks to the investment of one of the most highly regarded Italian companies in the world in the sector, thus helping our clubs become increasingly attractive and sustainable." " Italian basketball has always been ahead of its time, and it is doing so again this time, in the belief that this is the future of the sport, with the Leagues and their clubs capable of distributing their products directly to the market," stated Maurizio Gherardini, LBA President-elect. "All with the goal of ensuring an increasingly solid future for top-level Italian basketball and its clubs, with an investment aimed at achieving greater revenues over time by finding a new and different economic balance."
Andrea Marini, CEO of Deltatre, an Italian company and global leader in streaming, broadcast, and digital data services for the sports industry, known for being the technology provider for the NFL, UEFA Champions League, Premier League, and Volleyball World, among others, said: "We are proud to partner with LBA to redefine the future of Italian basketball. This partnership goes beyond technology: we will directly manage production, distribution, sponsorship, OTT, growth marketing, and all the elements necessary to make LBA basketball available to its fans. Deltatre is proud to be uniquely positioned to drive this significant strategic shift."
In support of the project, LBA Infront's Official Advisor is assisting Deltatre in promoting the new platform.
