Google Adds Gemini AI to US Browser

Google full speed ahead with artificial intelligence in the United States. It will integrate AI Gemini in its Chrome online browsing software for users of the country. The move, announced on its official blog, comes just weeks after a federal judge saved the company from a forced sale of the browser in a antitrust lawsuit. Gemini's artificial intelligence will give software 'agentic' properties, that is, it will be able to perform actions in place of others users. Among other updates, it also includes the ability to detect previously visited web pages and the summary of the contents of multiple sites. In early September, a Washington judge ruled that Google is not required to sell its Chrome browser, one of the search engine giant's core assets, thus giving Big G a victory in the battle with the US antitrust authorities. The judge, however, ordered Google to share data with rivals to open up the competition in online search.
