Sounds in the Woods, Between Art and Nature at Passo del Vendulo in Roncobello

Sounds in the woods, between art and nature. This is what will happen this evening at 8 pm at Passo del Vendulo in Roncobello, with the soundtrack of the work Magnitudo by Bergamo artist Francesco Pedrini . Sound designer Nicola Gualandris will provide live quadraphonic soundtracks for the three installations that make up the work Magnitudo, which transforms the woods into a poetic observatory of the sky. The initiative is part of " Thinking Like a Mountain ," the Gamec Biennial of the Orobie Alps . Pedrini, with his work, offers a new vantage point of the celestial vault, born from a reflection on the transformation of the forest ecosystem due to climate change . The work comprises three installations. Posa is a flat area, which, like a horizontal sundial, will come to life thanks to community participation: until May 2026, every month, different people will bring a small stone to be set in the spot marked by the sundial's shadow. Polaris is a leaning trunk that guides the observer towards the North Star, while Aerophone is the tree that collects the sounds of the sky.
