In Naples the first edition of the Sport Kids Festival: a day of sport and fun for the whole family

Lungomare Caracciolo will be transformed into a large sports village to host the first edition of the Sport Kids Festival, a free event open to all families, dedicated to children and young people. The initiative organized by Asd Sebs Fiera dello Sport, aims to promote physical activity, inclusion and team spirit through a day of games, sports and fun.
From 9:00 to 18:00, Saturday 17 May, the Rotonda Diaz will host a program full of sports activities designed for the little ones, with the aim of introducing them to the world of sport in a fun and engaging way, ensuring families spend a day dedicated to well-being and sharing.
The Municipality of Naples is the sponsoring body of the initiative, presented this morning in the Sala Pignatiello of Palazzo San Giacomo by the Councilor for Sport and Equal Opportunities, Emanuela Ferrante, together with the organizers Rossella Montagna and Tommaso Conte. Representatives of the Cannavaro-Ferrara Foundation, which supports the project, and some of the sports federations that have joined also participated in the meeting.
"The seafront - explained Councilor Ferrante - will be animated by many sports activities thanks to this initiative that, although dedicated specifically to children, is open to all families. This is one of the small steps we are taking in view of 2026, when Naples will be the European Capital of Sport, with important federal competitions but also with initiatives spread throughout the territory. We have allocated 100 thousand euros to each Municipality so that they can renovate a small field or a gym, in order to offer all children and young people the opportunity to practice sports close to home".
