Contributions for Christmas, Festival and Capital of Culture to local associations

The Municipality of Agrigento has granted a series of contributions to local cultural associations. The measure is part of the activities linked to recent local cultural events

Among the main events are Christmas 2024, the Sagra del Mandorlo in Fiore and a video mapping project on the city's central station.

The sums distributed amount, for the most part, to 1,800 euros for each association, with the exception of two cases. Cristian Vassallo's Pro Studio received a contribution of 149,328 euros for the preparation of the video mapping and an amount of 4,000 euros to the Associazione Bandistica Intercomunale V. Bellini.

Among the entities involved are numerous folk and cultural groups with a long tradition: Associazione Folk Città di Agrigento, Terra du Suli, Antico Rabbato, Fiori del Mandorlo, Compagnia di Tradizioni Popolari, Sicilia 2000, Akropolis, and Geniality APS. All committed to the valorization of Sicilian tradition through music, dance, and popular performances. A smaller quota, equal to 800 euros, was assigned to the Associazione Nuovo Millennio – Report Sicilia.
