Montreuil hospital nurse charged with sexual assault on infants

A nurse at Montreuil Hospital (Seine-Saint-Denis) was charged on Saturday, August 2, with sexual assault of a 15-year-old minor, capturing images, and distributing child pornography, after analyzing videos involving infants, the Bobigny prosecutor's office announced to Agence France-Presse. Her partner was also charged with complicity in sexual assault. He is suspected of having been the instigator. Both defendants were placed under judicial supervision, against the advice of the prosecutor's office, which had requested their pretrial detention.
The 26-year-old woman appeared at the Clichy-sous-Bois police station in Seine-Saint-Denis on Wednesday evening to report alleged crimes, the prosecutor's office previously stated. She had accused a 28-year-old man with whom she had a relationship, claiming to have been under his influence. An investigation was then opened.
The nurse had gone to the police station after several videos were posted on the TikTok platform warning of "a scandal in a hospital in the 93rd arrondissement." In one of these posts, a man facing the camera claimed that "two people who work with infants (...) are having fun mistreating black children," before adding that it was "sexual in nature." "It's time now that we move to bring justice to the streets," he said in this video, which was viewed more than 1.4 million times on Saturday.
According to the prosecutor's office, "there is no racial element in the act; one of the children is white, the other black." Two victims have so far been identified after analyzing the videos. The acts took place in December 2024 and January 2025, according to the Bobigny prosecutor's office.
Neonatal intensive care nurseIn a press release issued Friday, the management of the Grand Paris Nord-Est territorial hospital group (GHT GPNE) stated that "this nurse worked exclusively in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Montreuil hospital," which cares for babies born prematurely, and did not work in the maternity ward. "The actions of this nurse, if confirmed by the ongoing police investigation, are a serious personal error that the hospital strongly condemns. They are in no way a collective service practice," added the management of GHT GPNE.
The rumor quickly caused a stir on Wednesday and Thursday, with "worried mothers calling the establishment even though they had sometimes given birth there a year ago," the management of the hospital group lamented.
The nurse in question "has been suspended as a precautionary measure pending the conclusions of the police investigation" , according to the GHT GPNE.
