In January 2026, France will have to comply with a European directive that sets a maximum concentration of PFAS per liter of water. In anticipation of this, Veolia and Suez are deploying treatment units to filter water from catchment wells contaminated by these perennial pollutants.

It's a large container that appears to have been placed upright on one side. It's 8.50 meters high and 2.50 meters wide, dimensions that allow it to be transported by truck, without being considered an exceptional convoy. In Corbas, in the suburbs of Lyon, this container has just been installed by Veolia right next to a water catchment well serving an industrial zone. This installation makes it possible to remove PFAS, these "eternal pollutants" , which are present there.
