Bagnolet (93): Mina, 71, killed with a hammer by a Moroccan homeless man she was hosting, who was used to welcoming illegal North African street vendors (Update)

According to Le Parisien , Mina, 71, was found dead at her home in Bagnolet (Seine-Saint-Denis) on August 20. Her son, worried about not hearing from her, alerted the emergency services. Firefighters discovered her body lying in a pool of blood, her face covered by a vest and a wound hidden by a cloth. A bloody hammer was found nearby.
The investigation revealed that Mina regularly hosted undocumented North Africans who made a living selling cigarettes on the street. The prime suspect, Azdine, 48, a homeless Moroccan, was arrested on August 21 near the construction site of the Blanc-Mesnil mosque. Sneakers matching the footprints found at the crime scene were seized, and his bank card had been used immediately after the murder.
Although he denied any involvement, he was charged with voluntary manslaughter and imprisoned. An autopsy confirmed death by head and facial trauma caused by a blunt object.
The firefighters, accompanied by a friend of the victim's son, made the discovery, the same source continued, adding that there were numerous traces of blood on the floor of the apartment. The authorities have not yet been able to determine the date of his death.
