Bill Gates accuses Elon Musk of "being involved in the deaths of the world's poorest children"

Microsoft co-founder and computer genius Bill Gates has lashed out at the Trump administration and Elon Musk for the US's cuts to foreign aid. According to the Windows co-creator, dismantling USAID , the world's largest development aid network, will lead to a massive increase in child deaths.
"In terms of child deaths, which should have gone from five million to four million in the next few years, now, unless there's a radical change, we'll probably go from five million to six million," Gates said in a recent interview with The New York Times, regarding the magnate's plan to give away his entire fortune by 2045.
The engineer points out that he didn't expect the Trump administration to cut aid to foreign countries so much; at first, he thought it would be at most 20%. However, he noted that the cut is currently around 80%. He also pointed to Elon Musk, head of DOGE, the government efficiency department, as the main culprit: "The richest man in the world has been involved in the deaths of the world's poorest children."
It's worth remembering that Elon Musk's support for Donald Trump, as well as his involvement in government cuts, have significantly damaged the businessman's image and the numerous companies he owns. Profits at Tesla, the South African's main source of income, fell by 71% due to his foray into politics.
Musk's other businesses, such as X, formerly Twitter, have also been affected. According to the social network's own data, it has lost more than 10 million users in Europe in the last five months. Although there is no internal data on the number of Internet users in the United States, it is likely that this has also decreased, according to external studies.
