Weather forecast: These are the departments where it will rain the most during the next week of June.

Rainfall in several parts of the country has marked the month of June as a rainy season. Because of this, Colombian citizens have been surprised on more than one occasion by sudden changes in the weather in different regions of the country.
To avoid being caught off guard in their daily activities by the anticipated rainy season, the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM) announced the weather forecast that will affect several regions of the country for the third week of June.

According to the analyses generated for this month and presented in a bulletin published on May 8, 2025, on the official IDEAM website, the climate forecast for June and July, which predicted warmer and drier conditions in large areas of the country, did not materialize.
Weather forecast for June 17 Over the past few hours, the weather forecast for this week has shown a gradual increase in cloud cover in the Pacific , Orinoquia and Amazon regions, where increased rainfall is expected.
Heavy rains are forecast for Tuesday morning in the Amazon region and in specific areas of the Orinoquia region. In the afternoon, cloud cover is expected to expand toward the Atlantic and Pacific regions, with the possibility of moderate rain. Meanwhile, at the end of the day, clouds will move toward the Andean region.

The weather forecast for Wednesday indicates a gradual increase in cloudiness during the early morning hours in the Pacific, Orinoquia, Amazon, and a small area of the Andes, where a higher probability of rain is expected.
Moderate clearing is forecast for the Atlantic and Pacific regions this morning, while light rain is expected in the Amazon and Orinoquia regions.
For the afternoon, a sudden expansion of cloud cover is expected across all regions of the country, although with a low probability of rain, which should gradually decrease toward the end of the day.

According to IDEAM, Thursday will experience significant variations during the early morning hours , with low cloud cover across the country. Initially, rainy weather is expected in the Amazon region, with specific areas where cloud cover could reach moderate intensity.
The cloudiness will gradually increase and will be evident from the morning hours, with the appearance of clouds in the Atlantic and Pacific regions.
In the afternoon, increased rainfall intensity is expected in these areas. At night, moderate rainfall is expected to concentrate in the Andean and Orinoquia regions.

According to the official website of the Bogotá Mayor's Office, in conjunction with the District Institute for Risk Management and Climate Change (IDIGER), residents of the capital should prepare for the possible arrival of rain, with mostly cloudy skies expected throughout the day.
The capital's localities with the highest probability of intermittent rain are Bosa, San Cristóbal, Usme, and Ciudad Bolívar. Additionally, cloudy skies with light drizzle are expected in Fontibón, Kennedy, Puente Aranda, Ciudad Bolívar, and Usme.
On the other hand, moderate rainfall will occur mainly in Suba, Usaquén, Engativá, and Barrios Unidos. The weather forecast predicts partial temperatures between 11°C and 20°C.
