They seek to replace the import of hardware products from Asia

With a call to find more local suppliers to supply the United States and replace imports from Asian countries, the National Hardware Expo opened this morning at the Expo Guadalajara facilities.

Javier García, general director of Expo Nacional Ferretera, explained that this exhibition allows for the creation of alliances, the maintenance of supply chains, and the search for buyers.

"How do you combat uncertainty? With alliances. We have one of the largest hardware chains in the United States that comes with the full intention of seeing domestic manufacturers and bringing them to showcase products in the United States."

Mauro Garza Marín, coordinator of the state government's economic cabinet, highlighted the importance of this sector: "The hardware sector is important. Let's remember that we have Jalisco industries that are national leaders, which fill us with pride."

Garza also emphasized that a few years ago, the Hardware Expo had very few exhibitors; today, most of the fairgrounds are occupied. "The fact that buyers from Central America come and that we export from our state to those countries and the United States speaks to the new opportunities," Garza noted.

The coordinator also stated that the renegotiation of the USMCA will open up new opportunities for this sector, allowing more factories to come to Jalisco and then be exported . "Asia is an important player, and the opportunity we see is that many of the products currently being imported can be manufactured in the country."

The National Hardware Expo has more than 1,200 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 60,000 national and international visitors. For his part, Luiz Bellini, general director of RX Mexico , said that this event is the most important meeting point for the hardware industry in the country.

"For us at RX Mexico, this fair represents the best of our vision: to build strong communities, connect markets, and open business opportunities that drive economic growth," he concluded .
