According to the report, the Canadians reached an agreement with MLS club FC Cincinnati regarding the so-called "discovery rights." These transfer rights for Müller were held by Cincinnati, which demanded a transfer fee in return. Vancouver will now make a staggered payment of approximately €400,000 over the next twelve months.

According to "Bild," Müller is set to sign his contract in Vancouver on August 1. His debut for the Whitecaps could come as early as August 9 – in an away game against the San José Earthquakes.
