AOK Nordost has set the billing regulations as well as the billing and complaint deadlines for Pharmacies and data centers in the federal states of Berlin, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have been adapted as of today.
"With a value date of 4 days of the month following the calendar month of delivery, an advance payment of 80 percent of the invoice amount for the previous month or the last billed month, excluding adjustments, is due," AOK Nordost stated in response to a query from PZ. Only data centers that bill for at least five pharmacies located in Berlin, Brandenburg, or Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will receive an advance payment.
In addition, the deadlines for the complaint process have been aligned. The health insurance company now consistently audits invoices within twelve months, and the deadlines for the appeal process have been standardized to three months. Previously, the deadline was 23 months.
The pharmacies and data centers affected by the changes have been informed by the respective pharmacists' associations, according to Dirk Becker, press spokesman for AOK Nordost.
