PayPal, Bank of America, Citigroup: US financial groups want to invest billions in Great Britain

The investments are expected to create 1,800 jobs in London, Edinburgh, Belfast, and Manchester. They are also intended to deepen transatlantic ties, according to the Ministry of Business and Trade.
The investments would "fuel the growth that is essential to putting money into the pockets of working people in all parts of the United Kingdom," said Chancellor Rachel Reeves (46). The agreements secured £20 billion in trade between Great Britain and the United States. This strengthens relations "with one of our closest trading partners," said Trade Minister Peter Kyle (55).
