Wizz Air CEO Accuses Abu Dhabi of Favoritism Towards Etihad

Wizz Air boss Jozsef Varadi claims Abu Dhabi backpedaled on promises, handing over key routes to Etihad instead.
Wizz Air cited factors including “hot and harsh” Gulf weather for its abrupt suspension of flights from Abu Dhabi last week. But CEO Jozsef Varadi now says another reason was a breakdown in its relationship with local authorities. He has accused them of reneging on access to key South Asian routes and favoring national carrier Etihad.
“Abu Dhabi changed its mind,” Varadi said in an interview with The Sunday Telegraph. “We all had an understanding that we would be accessing markets like India and Pakistan. It was specifically mentioned in our investment
