A NEW waterpark could be coming to Wales as proposals have been made to create one at Bargoed Farm in Cardigan Bay.

Owners of the award-winning The Moody Cow Farm Shop and Welsh Kitchen, and Bargoed Farm campsite want to open the new attraction - just months after opening a trampoline park.

It's a kids' paradise with a play barn and trampoline park

The site transformed from a derelict farm in 2010 into a thriving campsite called Bargoed Farm that opened in March 2017.

Since then it has expanded into a farm shop, play barn, trampoline park - and now, a possible waterpark too.

Specific details on the proposal remain under wraps, but the public consultation is accessible online via SurveyMonkey or directly from Bargoed Farm.

It states: "Bargoed Farm is planning an exciting new indoor and outdoor waterpark and leisure facility, designed to provide year-round water-based activities for visitors and the local community."

It details that the plan is to open an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, "thrilling" water slides, training pool, a children's splash area and warm activity pool.

It carried on to say that "people of all ages and abilities can enjoy high-quality aquatic experiences in all seasons" and they want to offer "family fun, fitness, and relaxation."

In 2021, the on-site Moody Calf Farm Shop and Welsh Kitchen became award-winning when it scooped up the prize for "Best Rural Diversification Project."

Inside the farm shop that serves local foods and cakes is The Moody Calf Play Barn which is a popular spot for families.

One visitor wrote on Tripadvisor, explaining that her son had called it his 'favourite place in the whole world'.

Over the years, the attraction has expanded, recently gaining permission for a trampoline park on-site, called the ‘The Crazy Cow Trampoline and Activity Park.'

Bargoed Farm also has plush luxury glamping lodges

Inside is a new trampoline park and assault course for children aged three and up.

Bargoed Farm has now launched a public consultation on proposals to expand the attraction with a water park and leisure facility.

In 2023 it was given planning permission to expand its on-site caravan park with new tourer pitches with hot tubs and glamping accommodation.

The campsite welcomes tourists and locals who want to pitch up on one of the 98 fully serviced hard-standing pitches.

For anyone who doesn't want to camp, there's a 'Moo-Tel' which is a holiday accommodation with 11 rooms and outside patio table and chairs - all within walking distance of the farm shop.

There are five luxury lodges on the farm too - and each comes with its private hot tub.

You'll find the site in between the seaside towns of Aberaeron and New Quay - so it has plenty of good views.
