The pretty seaside town as good as Brighton but less famous

Whitstable is filled with quaint shops, and has a quiet coastline and huge range of things to do for visitors. The town has an old-fashioned feel and it stands out as one of Kent’s gems.

One must-visit spot while you’re in the area is Whitstable beach which is around five minutes away no matter where you are in the town.

According to Visit Canterbury, Whitstable and its suburb Tankerton boast more than 400 independent businesses, from vintage shops and galleries to cafés, bakers, hardware stores, and family-run restaurants.
